Another STLP State Championship has come and gone and we have 3 new Racing to the Future™ Champions crowned. After the dust has settled and the winners are announced, we send the trophies out to get their names added to the group of past champions. Once the trophies are returned, we visit each of the winner’s schools to present them and their school, the AFX Champions Traveling Trophy to keep for the year, until a new champion is crowned.
2018 Racing to the Future™ Elementary School Champion – Ty Clark
Racing to the Future™ was invited to Ty Clark’s school for their morning school newscast. Ty received his trophy with his mom and little sister watching. Ty is a great Racing to the Future™ Champion. He shared his winner’s prizes with his team mates so they would have tracks to practice with and be ready for next year’s competition.
2018 Racing to the Future™ Middle School Champion – Samual Cooper
Next we visited Montgomery County Intermediate School to present Samual Cooper with his AFX Champions Trophy. We were able to present the trophy to Samual at the district’s school board meeting. Samual was recognized by the whole school community for his big win!
2018 Racing to the Future™ High School Champion – Matthew Grzynkowicz
Our High School AFX Champion is Matthew Grzynkowicz from Anderson County High School. This is Matthew’s first championship and it is also Anderson County’s first Racing to the Future™ Champion.
We would like to thank all of the Racing to the Future™ Champions and their schools for allowing us to come and visit and present the trophies. We would also like to thank Steve Russell at AFX/Racemasters for sponsoring the Traveling Trophies. We look forward to next year’s events and the next series of champions for 2019.
