Another STLP State Championship has come and gone and we have 3 new Racing to the Future™ Champions crowned. After the dust has settled and the winners are announced, we send the trophies out to get their names added to the group of past champions. Once the trophies are returned, we visit each of the winner’s schools to present them and their school the AFX Champions Traveling Trophy to keep for the year, until a new champion is crowned.
2017 Racing to the Future™ Elementary School Champion – Joshua Baker
Racing to the Future™ was invited to Joshua Baker’s School for their awards day ceremony. Joshua received his AFX Champions Trophy in front of the 4th grade classes at the event.
2017 Racing to the Future™ Middle School Champion – Sydney Shelby
Next we visited Morton Middle School to present Sydney Shelby with her AFX Champions Trophy. Sydney is no stranger to the championship as she won last year at the Elementary School level.
2017 Racing to the Future™ High School Champion – Alayna Collins
Our High School AFX Champion is Alayna Collins. Alayna has been racing in the competition for a while now and made it to the finish line first with her first championship. She is already making plans for next year’s competition!
We would like to thank all of the Racing to the Future™ Champions and their schools for allowing us to come and visit and present the trophies. We would also like to thank Steve Russell at AFX/Racemasters for sponsoring the Traveling Trophies. We look forward to next year’s events as 2018 will mark Racing to the Future™ 10 year anniversary as an STLP event.
